- Narumi-Shibori
- NARUMI-SHIBORIJapanese cotton and silk crepes, made at Narumi Province of Owari, Japan. They are hand dyed as follows : - The loom state fabric has many small knots tied into it by means of wax thread and then is placed in the dye. After removing from the dye, the wax thread is removed, leaving behind spots untouched by the dye. These spots form small conical prominences, as the dye also slightly shrinks and crinkles the fabric.
